'Going' the distance at APTA NSC

Published: October 29, 2018

Faculty and students from the Technology and Engineering Education participated in a Go Baby Go Live Build event at the American Physical Therapy Association National Student Conclave from Oct. 11 to 13. The NSC offers educational workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities to physical therapy students from all over the country.

Go Baby Go is a national, community-based research, design, and outreach program that provides modified ride-on cars to children from birth to age three with limited mobility.

Working with volunteer physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, the CCSU group modified a car for a three-year-old girl named Tessa.

Representing CCSU were Peter Lawson, Tucker Boman, Olivia Franzese, Stephanie Willoughby, Gary Liseo, and Jack Clonan with support from professors Michele Dischino and James DeLaura.
