Commencement 2019

What you need to know

To participate in CCSU’s Commencement Exercises, students must be attired in an appropriate cap and gown. The only cords or stoles permitted to be worn at the ceremony are University-sanctioned Honor Societies that are earned at the graduate level. All others are not permissible.
Master’s candidates - gown, hood, cap & '19 tassel - $70.00 plus a $25 late order fee
Doctoral candidates will be contacted individually concerning regalia options.

I Have my own Regalia

If you do not need to order regalia, we still need to know that you will be participating in the ceremony.

Either way, you are responsible for bringing your regalia to the XL Center. The deadline to register if you have your own regalia is Monday, May 6, 2019 at midnight,

Ordering Regalia

The site for ordering regalia is now closed. If you need regalia, please use the link below to provide your information so that we can plan accordingly and have regalia available for sale on Thursday, May 16th from 3:00pm — 7:00 pm in Alumni Hall.

Portrait Sittings

Also at the pickup, Grad Images will be in Alumni Hall offering you, for free, the opportunity to take a formal portrait. You may choose a solo portrait, or you can invite family and/or friends to pose with you. Grad Images is CCSU’s official commencement photographer and will also be taking photos at the ceremony.

Cap & Gown Pickup

Regalia pickup will take place in Alumni Hall which is located inside the Student Center. To avoid long lines, we encourage you to show up on the day scheduled for your school (though we realize this isn’t always possible).

In addition to your regalia, you will receive specific line-up instructions for the ceremony processional and a name card. If your name is challenging to pronounce, you may phonetically spell your name on the card to assist the commencement ceremony reader. Please remember to bring your name card with you to the ceremony.
