Wolff named dean of CLASS

Dr. Robert S. Wolff was named dean of the Carol A. Ammon College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences on May 4. His deanship will be effective July 6.

Dr. Wolff has been a member of the CCSU History Department since fall of 1997 and was promoted to associate professor in 2002, granted tenure a year later, and promoted to the rank of professor in 2011.

Over his many years of service to the University, Dr. Wolff has served as assistant to the dean in the Carol A. Ammon School of Arts & Sciences; chair of the Department of History; interim chair of the Department of Theatre; chair of the University Planning and Budget Committee; and as a member of the Integrated Planning Council.

Dr. Wolff earned his Ph.D. and M.A. in History at the University of Minnesota. He also holds a B.A. with honors in Political Science from Swarthmore College.
