Ilker Ozbelli graduated with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (Yildiz Technical University) in Istanbul, Turkey where he also started his dance career. In 2000, he came to the United States to study at CCSU, graduating with a master’s degree in Management Information Systems. Ozbelli always loved dancing as an art form and continuously has pursued ballroom dancing, working with many renowned coaches. In 2003, he started work at the Arthur Murray Dance Center in Glastonbury, CT and since then has taught in many high schools and colleges. Ozbelli choreographed for secondary schools, university festivals, the private sector, and both professional and recreational competitions. Currently, he is a gold-certified ballroom dancer working towards Examiner/Judging certifications. He has been a CCSU adjunct faculty member since Fall 2020 and is excited to join the Dance Education Program teaching ballroom.
