Scanning Documents with Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a technology that is able to digitize documents and convert them into text files that can be searched, edited, and archived. The Instructional Design and Technology Resource Center (IDTRC) provides OCR software and scanners to scan photographs, negatives or documents, for use in publications, presentations, web pages and class handouts.
