Program Description

Accounting is the "language of business." Managers use accounting information to help with planning, controlling, and decision-making. CCSU's accounting program prepares graduates for challenging and rewarding positions as auditors in insurance companies, manufacturing firms, state and federal agencies (including the FBI), and consulting firms.

Learning Outcomes

  1. AC1 Accounting Problem Solving - Students will have the ability to solve complex accounting problems including analysis, interpretation, and communication of results.
  2. CS1 Communication Skills - Students will prepare and deliver an effective business document.
  3. ES2 Ethics and Social Responsibility - Students identify the impact of business actions on multiple stakeholders.
  4. TS1 Thinking Skills - Students identify appropriate issues for actions when faced with business situations
