Program Description

For practicing counselors and clinicians who hold a Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology, the program provides preparation for licensure as a Professional Counselor through the CT Department of Public Health. A new specialization in Gerontology Counseling offers additional clinical expertise working with older adults.

Learning Outcomes

Students will:

  1. complete the required 60 credits to be license eligible
  2. complete the required content courses for licensure/certificate
  3. pass the licensure/certification exam
