This program is offered by the Physical Education & Human Performance Department

Program Description

Students in the Bachelor of Science in Dance Education will learn from our extraordinary and diverse faculty and from internationally acclaimed artists-in-residence, such as Jennifer Muller/The WORKS. From ballet to hip-hop and from jazz to West Indian, students will learn technique, dance history, and how to create their own dances. The CCSU Dance Program also offers a Cross-Endorsement in Dance Teacher Certification. This means students can work toward a teaching certificate in Elementary Education, Physical Education, or Music Education and take an additional 30 credits of dance. Doing this means you can acquire two teaching certificates!

Students can also minor in Dance, which requires 21 credits in the dance curriculum. Major in your choice of field and keep up with your love of dancing and performance while staying in shape!
