Organizational Plan

During the 2019 summer, the Senior Leadership of Student Affairs established an organizational plan for the Division. Central Connecticut State University’s Division of Student Affairs strives to become the leader in New England by graduating students who become critical thinkers, who contribute to their communities and the world.

There are six goals we will work to achieve by July 1, 2020:

  1. Inventory and assess Division-wide activities – led by Scott Hazan
  2. Partner with Enrollment Management to establish a seamless process for students as they enter the University, by providing accurate and engaging promotional materials which assist in the transition and retention of new students – led by Jean Alicandro
  3. Student Affairs will be involved in the development of the First-Year Experience
program – led by Maria Santilli
  4. Explore and identify revenue-generating ideas to support the University mission – led by Ray Hernández
  5. Establish Central Reservations Office as the single point for all campus scheduling of space for internal and external clients – led by Kathy Poirier
  6. Review and determine needed staffing levels to meet divisional needs to support new and existing initiatives, secure funding to implement divisional plan for staffing levels and support longevity to service areas – led by Michael Jasek
