Welcome to Maria's Place

Maria's Place, the CCSU community food pantry, opened in its new location at the Vance Academic Center on Sept. 14. The food pantry is named after longtime CCSU employee Maria Alvarez, who passed away in 2015. President Zulma R. Toro (center) and Alvarez's daughter, Melina Lopez (right), gave remarks at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
